Based in Wokingham, Berkshire, Bearwood Brewing is an independent craft brewery and taproom. We are focused on brewing the best Hoppy IPAs, Luxurious Stouts and Fruity Sours (and everything else inbetween).

Our brewery name was conceived after meetings at a potential brewery site near Bearwood Lakes in Wokingham. We started to refer to the project as Bearwood and the name just stuck!

Head Brewer John Willatts learnt his trade brewing for Binghams Brewery (where he won the CAMra Supreme Champion Beer in 2016) and Ascot Brewing Company and Disruption Is Brewing (winning the SIBA 2023 Best Cask Pale). He is joined by Max Baylis who has been brewing for The Outhouse Brewery.

Behind the scenes, Peter Rhodes (The Outhouse Brewery) and Christian Cummins, are tasked with quality control and ensuring that Bearwood Brewing is an inclusive space for staff and customers alike.
